V1: stretch, V2: stretched, V3: stretched. Okunuşu: /stretʃ/. Düzenli bir fiildir. Kolları/bacakları açıp esnetmek, bir kumaşı çekiştirip uzatmak veya bir arazinin/yolun kilometrelerce uzanıp gitmesi demektir. Yaygın Kullanım: ‘stretch the truth’ (gerçeği çarpıtmak / abartmak), ‘a bit of a stretch’ (biraz abartı / zorlama bir yorum).
