V1: comfort, V2: comforted, V3: comforted. Okunuşu: /ˈkʌm.fət/. Düzenli bir fiildir. Üzgün veya acı çeken birine manevi destek vermek, onu sakinleştirmek demektir. Nuans: İsim hali de ‘konfor, rahatlık, teselli’ anlamındadır.
