V1: cancel, V2: cancelled, V3: cancelled. Okunuşu: /ˈkæn.səl/. Düzenli bir fiildir. Önceden planlanmış bir etkinliğin veya kararın yapılmayacağını duyurmak demektir. Nuans: ‘Delay’ veya ‘postpone’ (ertelemek) ile karıştırılmamalıdır; cancel eylemi tamamen iptal eder. Yaygın Kullanım: ‘cancel out’ (etkisini yok etmek / birbirini götürmek).
