Tahmin etmek
V1: guess, V2: guessed, V3: guessed. Okunuşu: /ɡes/. Düzenli bir fiildir. Kesin bir bilgi olmadan bir sonuca varmaya çalışmak demektir. Nuans: ‘Estimate’ (matematiksel/mantıksal hesaplama yapmak) iken, ‘guess’ tamamen bir hisse veya eksik bilgiye dayanarak tahminde bulunmaktır. Yaygın Kullanım: ‘guess what!’ (bil bakalım ne oldu!), ‘anybody’s guess’ (kimse bilemez / tam bir muamma), ‘wild guess’ (tamamen sallama/rastgele tahmin).
